For the next two weeks, historic vehicles are taking over our nation’s capital, and we want you to be a part of the festivities! We would be honored if you would join us for the second annual Cars at the Capital event in Washington, DC.
The Historic Vehicle Association and many of our members are making the trip to DC because we care deeply about automotive heritage. Fuel plays an essential part in keeping our automotive history running.
As members of Smarter Fuel Future ourselves, we believe in promoting sound policies that protect our engines. As you know, the federal ethanol mandates in the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) could make it harder to find fuel that is safe to use in all of our vehicles.
The fuel many of us rely on to keep our cars and bikes running—fuels with lower ethanol blends—are being threatened by the RFS.
Passed in 2005, the RFS requires that more ethanol be blended into our nation’s fuel supply every year. If it becomes harder to find fuel with lower ethanol blends, priceless historic engines could be put at risk.
If you’re close by, be sure to come celebrate our country’s incredible automotive heritage, we look forward to seeing you on the National Mall during Cars at the Capital.
All the best,
President, Historic Vehicle Association
